Japantown Island Jam 2008

Presented by the Japanese Community Youth Council (http://www.jcyc.org/), a non-profit organization based in San Francisco’s Japantown, Japantown Island Jam included contemporary Hawaiian entertainment, children activities, and unique food. It took place in the Buchanan Mall. Besides the Jam activities, at the same time, there’s also Japantown Art & Craft festival going on.

We went there with Merahi o Tehani group and Prianka performed a few tahitian dances with the group. Here’s the complete picture in the Island Jam Album.

James Logan HS Commencement

June 14, 2008.  Today is James Logan High School Commencement Day, Jessica’s graduation ceremony.  It’s absolutely a perfect day for an outdoor ceremony; not too cold, not too hot, just nice and sunny.  Class of 2008 consisted of 900 students. 750 of them graduated this year. 48 of them graduated Suma Cum Laude, including Jessica. Today was a day that we knew we are so blessed and proud.  I’m sure lots of parents in that same stadium felt pretty much the same.

Senior Prom

Today is James Logan HS Prom night. Jessica and friends gathered at our house before they left on their hired limo. The prom/party is in Niko Hotel in downtown San Francisco. The kids went out for an early dinner before they head to the party. The girls look beautiful and the guys are looking really sharp!

WBA Champion 2007

James Logan HS marching band is once again the WBA Champion this year. The final event took place at East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park. This is year is our daughter’s senior year and her last time performing with the band. Here’s a video clip of the almost perfect final performance that ended up with a score of 97.8.
